Ahead of this game, Eduoard Mendy seems to be the only Chelsea first team player who might not make appearance that day. The Senegalese goalkeeper sustained an injury during the blues' UCL game against Zenit st Petersburg, this explained why he did not play against Tottenham hotspur.

Phil Foden has also returned back from injury. He has made 3 appearances for Mancity since his returned althougg most of these appearances were from bench. He scored a goal against Southampton last Saturday but VAR cancelled it due to offside reasons.

Phil Foden finally made his starting appearance against Wycombe on Tuesday, he scored a thunderous goal and also delievered 2 assists. His goal was the best out of the 6 scored by 'the Cityzens'. He played an unexpected shot which the goalkeeper could not reach.

Pep Guardiola seems to have found the perfect player who would help him to get a revenge on Thomas Tuchel.

Phil Foden is a great dribbler, he terrorized Chelsea during the semi-final round of FA cup competition last season although the blues later defeated them.

The combination of this young atracker which Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne can scatter Thomas Tuchel's defensive plans.

On the other hand, Chelsea's defence cannot be underrated at all. The blues withstood Liverpool's attack with only 10 men, they might as well subdue Pep Guardiola's attacking tactics with 11 men.
