19-year-old Akinkunmi Amoo has been one of the standout performers in the Swedish Allsvenskan this season for the hard-working Hammarby.
In spite of his young age, Amoo is a player with substantial experience and has already amassed over 50 career appearances – this an astonishing amount of game time for his age.
Amoo's experience with the Golden Eaglets in the World Cup has really shaped him, with the Ibadan-born midfielder boasting all the physical requirements needed to excel in the Scandinavian region.
You could argue that Amoo is leading the next wave of exciting young Nigerian talent, and yet astonishingly he's underrated.
While other young Nigerian players such as Victor Osimhen and Maduka Okoye are getting the praise and recognition they deserve, Amoo isn't and is worthy of inclusion in this team.
It he can continue to impress he may be an outsider for a call up to the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, in spite of lean competition in the number 10 role.
With the amount of experience Amoo has for his age, he's a rare breed of player that boasts huge amounts of potential and experience respectively and you can envisage him playing for one of Europe's biggest teams in the not so distant future.
He doesn't look out of place in the Allsvenskan and is already lighting up the League, and yet he's been severely overlooked by media and deserves more recognition for his excellence in the early years of his very exciting career.
The lad is the talk of the Town in Sweden as he is always grabbing the headlines, with his latest teaser against AIK on Sunday.
