German world cup winner quits football at age 29.

German world cup winner and former Chelsea striker has decided to quit football at age 29.

Andre Schurrle who terminated his remaining one year contract made 33 appearances in the Bundesliga for Broussia Dortmund in two seasons and then had loan spells at Fulham and Spartak Moscow.

Schurrle who gave the assist in the 2014 world cup win has made a lot of achievements with so many European clubs like Bayern Leverkusen, Chelsea, and Wolfsburg before ending his spell in Broussia Dortmund.

He made his retirement statement in an interview saying "On behalf of myself and my family I want to thank everybody who was a part of these phenomenal years! The support and love you shared with me was unbelievable and more than I could have ever asked for! Now I'm ready and open for all the beautiful possibilities that are coming towards me."

In his twitter handle he made a statement saying "I want to let you know that I'm stepping away from playing professional football.”

We wish him well in the future and pray for better opportunities. He is most love by Chelsea players and cannot be forgotten in the history of football.
