Both teams were very careful to avoid being booked by the match referee but Enugu Rangers' player, Traore Issif, was unlucky as he was shown the red card for an offence he committed in the 90th minute.
The Nigerian Premier League table changed after the showdown because Akwa United has moved back to 1st position on the table. Recall that Kano Pillars' 1-1 draw with Katsina United placed Pillars on 1st position before today's match. Kano Pillars is now occupying 2nd place.
Kwara United is sitted on 3rd position, while Nasarawa United and Rivers United are 4th and 5th respectively.
This table is subject to changes as more matches will be played in coming days and weeks.
What do you think about this Nigerian Permier League table? Would Akwa United continue to dominate?
