Super Falcons striker, Ugochi Desire Oparanozie, says her confidence is at optimal level going into pre-season with French Feminine Division One side, Dijon FCO.
The former Guingamp skipper who worked her socks off during the lockdown, said this in a statement on her Instagram page alongside the picture above, which shows her sweating it out at training with her new club.
"Throughout years of my career, zi have never been more confident going into pre-season as much as I am this time. May be because I never stopped working out," stated the four-time African Women's Cup of Nations winner who joined Dijon on a two-year contract on 30 June, after leaving her club of six years, Guingamp.
Dijon will undoubtedly be better off with the the 26 years old's new high level of confidence going into the new season. They were 9th in the 12-team standings with 14 points in 16 matches when the 2019-2020 campaign got called off.They mustered just 10 goals with 32 conceded, leaving them with minus 22 goal difference.
It behoves on Oparanozie to replicate her scoring for Guingamp, where she weighed in with 45 goals in 106 appearances from 2014– 2020.
The former Rossiyanka and Wolfsburg player will play her first match for Dijon on 21 August, a friendly against fellow French Feminine Division One campaigners Paris FC, who are likely to feature young Nigeria goakeeper, friendly, Nnadozie Chiamaka.
