With Maguire loading up on pain-killing injections for the last two months, a United fan pointed out that Steve Bruce did the same in the 1993/94 season.
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been taking pain-killing injections over the last two months to continue playing and ease the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

This is a vital point of information indeed, considering how harshly Maguire's been criticized over the last month or so.
Reflecting on the situation, a United fan on Twitter recalled how club legend Steve Bruce did something similar in the 1993/94 season.
He explains how Ryan Giggs had once said that Bruce was diagnosed with a hernia halfway through that term but loaded up on painkillers and refused to stop till the season was done.
That campaign, we also won the double. This time, we might not be able to do that but kudos to Maguire for fighting through the pain - all for the badge on the shirt.
