Barcelona receives huge injury boost

Spanish Giants Barcelona have been greeted with some exciting news today. They have received an injury boost as Sergio Aguero and Ousmane Dembele have returned to training with the team.

Aguero and Dembele are set to make their return to footballing action after a while out. The pair trained with the team today for the first time this season as they get ready to return. It is however worthy of note that neither of them have been medically cleared by the club's doctors.

Sergio Aguero joined Barcelona in the summer on a free transfer from Manchester City. The Argentine forward picked up a calf injury in preseason training.

Ousmane Dembele picked up a serious knee injury in June on international duty with France during the Euro 2020 Tournament. He underwent surgery and is now on his way to full recovery.

Barcelona's next game is against Valencia this weekend at Camp Nou and the duo could be in line to feature should they be medically cleared. They should however be fully fit to play when Barcelona host Dynamo Kiev in the UEFA Champions League next Tuesday.

The return of Dembele and Aguero would definitely increase Barcelona's attacking option and may go a long way in improving the club's fortunes.

Barcelona sit 9th in La Liga heading into their next game against 8th placed Valencia.
