Real Madrid vs Osasuna

Real Madrid also kept up pursuit of rivals Atletico Madrid when they played at home to Osasuna on Saturday evening.

The reigning La liga title holders intially found it hard to break down an organized Elche side, but eventually did find a way to grind out a crucial win as goals from Eder Militao and Casemiro sealed vital win for Zinedine Zidane's men.

Valencia vs Barcelona

Barcelona survived a scare from Valencia to keep alive their hopes of clinching a domestic double this season.

The Catalans who missed the opportunity to shoot themselves to the top of Spanish La liga table against Granada on Thursday staged a stunning comeback as goals from Lionel Messi (double) and Antoinne Griezmann canceled an opener from the home side.
