Spurs could turn to Amorim
Tottenham are reportedly monitoring Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim as the club explore alternative options to Julian Nagelsmann for the vacant head coach position. The Times claim Spurs have made initial contact with Amorim, who is one of Europe’s most highly rated young coaches. The 38-year-old has indicated that he would be interested in making the switch at the end of the season.
Nagelsmann remains the first choice of the Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, but the German is used to working under a sporting director. Spurs are without one after the resignation of Fabio Paratici last month, while the German coach would command a salary similar to the £15m Antonio Conte earned before his departure in March.
