Bayern to compete with Arsenal for Palhinha

According to Football Insider, Bayern Munich have registered an interest in Arsenal target and Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha. The report states that Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel wants a good defensive midfielder for next season and Palhinha who has impressed with Fulham this season is seen as an ideal candidate. Earlier rumours have linked the player with Arsenal who also want to bolster their midfield as they return to European football. However, they will face competition from Liverpool, Man United, Tottenham and Chelsea, in addition to Bayern Munich.

Spurs could turn to Amorim

Tottenham are reportedly monitoring Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim as the club explore alternative options to Julian Nagelsmann for the vacant head coach position. The Times claim Spurs have made initial contact with Amorim, who is one of Europe’s most highly rated young coaches. The 38-year-old has indicated that he would be interested in making the switch at the end of the season.

Nagelsmann remains the first choice of the Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, but the German is used to working under a sporting director. Spurs are without one after the resignation of Fabio Paratici last month, while the German coach would command a salary similar to the £15m Antonio Conte earned before his departure in March.
