How Tammy Abraham Helped Jose Mourinho Set A New Record In The Italian Serie A Yesterday

The argument that José Mourinho, 'The Special One' is a finished manager, old school and old fashioned with outdated tactics is a disrespectful argument made by people who simply dislike Mourinho for one reason or the other.Photo credit: Getty Images

The Portuguese manager is still a great manager and he's showing it once again in the Italian Serie A with AS Roma.

Playing a style of football that is a complete opposite of the style his haters accuse him of playing (parking the bus), the former Chelsea boss has once again set another impressive record in the Italian Serie A after his side's 2-0 win over Empoli yesterday. Photo credit: Getty Images

This record stretches across Mourinho's time at Inter Milan years ago and after equaling Max Allegri's record of 41 unbeaten home matches with Juventus weeks ago, José Mourinho has set a new record.

Speaking about the impact of Tammy Abraham who didn't even score yesterday, Mourinho had high praises for the young striker.

"There are some strikers who do nothing when they don't score during the match. Then there are those who can be among the best in the field even without scoring, and this is Abraham. He played a terrific, extraordinary game. The goals will come."

It is safe to say that Tammy Abraham couldn't be under a better manager at this stage of his career. Especially after the way he was treated at Chelsea where the manager just didn't rate him enough to play him, Tammy has found a coach that rates him so much and gives him all the hype he'll need to succeed.Photo credit: Getty Images

There is no doubt that if these two continue the way they are right now, they will enjoy great success together in the Italian Serie A.
