Two Arsenal Players Who Could Make the Premier League Team of the Season for 2022-23 season

With Manchester City becoming Premier League champions for the third season in a row, it was time to name the Arsenal players that could make the Premier League Team of the Season thanks to their performances. Naturally, the three consistent clubs this year - Manchester City, Arsenal, and Newcastle United - will have the most representation, as well as brilliant individual performances that carry their team throughout the season.

1. Martin Odegaard

Being captain of Arsenal at the age of 24 and leading a title challenge against Manchester City is an impressive achievement for any young player. Despite his youth, his maturity and skill on the ball have cemented him as an indelible part of Mikel Arteta's Gunners this season. This season, his impact on Arsenal's inventiveness has drawn comparisons to Kevin De Bruyne in terms of relevance to their team's success.

Despite the presence of Bukayo Saka, Arsenal's victory this season would not be possible without Odegaard's leadership and consistency as captain of his national team, Norway. He has 15 goals and eight assists in 36 games this season, and memorable goals such as a long-range goal against Newcastle away (2-0) and scoring the second goal after going behind against Southampton (3-3) will be remembered by Arsenal fans. His ability to execute under pressure and his coolness will be crucial for Arsenal next season if they are to fight Manchester City again, and he has been included to this year's squad.

2. Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka led Arsenal's ambitious title drive this season for the majority of the season with his brave driving forward runs from the right side, while also contributing goals and assists. Despite being only 21 years old, he has demonstrated incredible maturity and consistency in his performances and has generated steady numbers up front, with 13 goals and 11 assists in the league, placing him among the top five players in Europe with at least 10 goals and 10 assists.

His dependability and fitness have also been praised, as he has played 3,134 minutes (94% of available minutes) in the league this season, which is only surpassed by a few players in the league. He is well-deservedly on the team, having helped Arsenal finish second and qualify for the Champions League every year since 2017.
