Chelsea currently lead the English Premier League table in 2021/2022 with 16 points and a +12 goal differential. They have won five EPL games, drawn one, and lost one.
After acquiring additional players during the summer transfer window of 2021, they will need to implement a new formation in order to maintain their lead in the English Premier League table.
However, it appears as though this formation is missing an offensive midfielder. Mason Mount and Kai Havertz are both capable of playing as attacking midfielders. Placing either of them there and then bringing Timo Werner in will work rather well.
Reece James and Macos Alonso excel at wing back positions due to their ability to generate more crosses to forward players. Retaining them and then utilizing one of these three formations may work for Thomas Tuchel's Blues.
