9 Players Who Will Be Working Hard At Chelsea Cobham Training Centre During The International Break

A couple of Chelsea players were left out of their countries' squad for the October international break, either because of fitness issues or they were deemed not good enough by their national team managers. These players will be working hard with the club coaching staff at the Cobham training centre while their colleagues are away, and they will be hoping to earn a call-up in the next international break.

Below, we will be having a look at nine first-team players who will be working hard at Chelsea Cobham training centre during the international break to win back a place in the club starting lineup.

1. N'Golo Kante.

Kante is expected to resume training in the next couple of days after spending some time in isolation due to Covid19.

The French midfielder will use the opportunity of the international break to regain match fitness.

2. Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa will also be spending time at Chelsea training ground during the international break since he was not in the Spain squad.

The 27 years goalkeeper will soon become the first choice at Chelsea when Mendy leaves for the upcoming African Cup of Nations. He needs to start working as hard as he can in training to prepare himself.

3. Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah has become a fan favourite at Chelsea due to his impressive start to the new season, but he is yet to receive a call-up to the England senior team squad.

The international break is another opportunity for him to convince Thomas Tuchel that he deserves a permanent place in the starting lineup.

4. Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The International break is another opportunity for Loftus-Cheek to convince the Chelsea coach staff of his importance to the team after gradually working back his way into their thoughts.

5. Saul Niguez.

Thomas Tuchel could use the opportunity of the international break to work closely with his summer signing after a slow start to his Chelsea career.

6. Ross Barkley.

The 27 years old English midfielder is another Chelsea player who has been given a lifeline in the last few weeks, and the absence of the club first-choice midfield players is a perfect opportunity to further convince the manager of his importance to the team.

7. Malang Sarr.

The 22 years old French defender will be hoping to earn more playing time after his impressive performance during the entire 90 minutes of Chelsea 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in the English League Cup.

8. Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 20 years old winger will also be working hard at the club training ground during the international break.

9. Hakim Ziyech.

Hakim Ziyech will be hoping to get his career back on track after his poor start to the new season.

His international future is also unclear at the moment after reportedly falling out with his national team coach.

Other youngsters from the club academy might also be drafted into the first-team training sessions to fill up the numbers during the international break.
