Lionel Messi and his teammates were subdued by a much more better and tougher side as they missed out on a chance to go top of the Laliga table. The diminutive Argentine tried all he could to get his side back in the game after they had gone behind in the contest but it looked like his teammates were not on the same wavelength as he was on the night. Yesterday's blank meant that Lionel Messi has now gone 7 games without scoring atleast one goal against Real Madrid. Also, taking a closer look at the stats, Lionel Messi has not scored with his last 25 shots on target against Real Madrid.
Well, while the game got to halftime and both teams went into their respective dressing rooms for proper tactical instructions, it started raining heavily. The rain did not stop until the game was over and it clearly disrupted the rhythm of the game as well. When both teams came out for the second half, few minutes in and Lionel Messi was spotted shivering in the pitch. The rain has drenched him and due to the relatively low temperatures, the Argentine forward had his hands shaking a bit as the cameras zoomed in. That led Messi to ask for another Jersey shirt right there and then in the stadium so he could change into a dry one. Well, Koeman's assistants down the touchline handed him a new one and he quickly changed into it. It made him feel a little more warm considering that his last Jersey was all wet.
