Meet Former Super Eagles Striker, Who Is A Commentator For The English Premier League.

Efangwu Goziem Ekoku is a former Nigerian Super Eagles striker, who is currently an English football commentator. As a professional footballer, he played for Sutton United, Wimbledon, Grasshoppers, AFC Bournemouth, Norwich City, Sheffield Wednesday and Dublin City. He secured coaching licences from FA (Football Association) and UEFA, after his retirement.

He is an English-born Nigerian, who is originally from Ika in Delta State. He made his debut as a professional footballer in 1990 for Bournemouth under Harry Redknapp, after the team had just been relegated to the third division. The 1990/1991 season was not exactly a great one for him, as he managed to score just 3 goals in 20 games. The following season 1991/1992 he was able to score 11 goals in 28 games and in 1992/1992 he managed to score only 7 goals.

On March 26, 1993, he made his Premier League debut for Norwich after joining them at the sum of £500,000 and he managed to score just three goals for the club, though the team also to qualified for the UEFA cup. Ekoku played for Nigeria between 1994 to 1998, he was among the 1994 FIFA World Cup team and he even won the 1994 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) title, with the Super Eagles in Tunisia.
