As the football season across Europe is coming to an end, many top European teams are plotting how to undo their counterparts. With the effect of the novel coronavirus, many teams have been hit across the world with financial crisis coupled with the restriction of fans into stadiums many clubs have been left stranded.
With transfer windows drawing closer, teams are beginning to bring out the chequebook to know which player best suits their team. As the search for players of good quality is on, just a handful of teams can compete with the high price tags of players this period.
When the former Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman took over the managerial position at Camp Nou, there were a major overhaul of players considers surplus to the team's requirements. And because of the non-availability of funds, he had to work with what was available. But since Joan Laporta took over as the president of Barcelona there have been major plans to sign very important players to stir the teams back to the epitope of European elite teams.
Barcelona has long been on the heels of Liverpool Midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, some report has it that the player has agreed on personal terms with the Catalan club and has verbally accepted a three-year deal. The players who become a free agent at the end of this season seems to have attracted another major European team Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich are offering him a three-year contract with talks ongoing about his possible wages, this is according to recent reports. With the recent development, only time and the player will tell which team the player will represent next season.
Koeman will hope he signs for Barcelona having worked with him in the national team before. Barcelona who is looking to rebuild their team around the youth may allow this deal to slide but the transfer window is one crazy market and until it's open and closed, impossible is nothing.
