Why Lukaku Should Replace Jorginho As Chelsea Penalty Taker

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is very good at taking penalties. The Italian International has proven that in recent years at the club and in the country, and that's why he's chosen to be the penalty taker at Chelsea. Jorginho has scored 34 out of his 39 penalties taken and has only missed 5.

Jorginho has missed four (excluding shootouts) in the last year's penalty shot he took, the Italian man should be questioned about his recent inability to convert his penalties and Chelsea Coach may have to look into that.

Chelsea need a reliable penalty taker this season to strongly contend for the Premier League title, and without this, it may be difficult to finish at the top of the table at the end of the season. The best player to replace Jorginho is Romelu Lukaku.

Romelu Lukaku has scored his last 20 for club and country. The Belgian International enjoyed a 100 percent penalty record at Inter Milan. 12 penalty goals in Serie A, and 1 goal in the Italian cup making it 13 in all competition for Inter Milan.

Many Chelsea fans will agree that Romelu Lukaku should replace Jorginho as the first-choice penalty taker ahead of every other player in the Club. Thomas Tuchel is expected to work on this, and soon there could be a reordering of Chelsea's penalty takers.

Chelsea should seriously consider making Lukaku the new penalty taker for the new season. Lukaku’s record of 20 goals from the spots in the last two seasons makes him the best option for a penalty-taking role.

If Thomas Tuchel is serious about the business of winning the Premier League title this season, then Jorginho's inconsistent penalty scoring should not be relied on. Although, the German coach has plenty of penalty taker options at his disposal that include Mason Mount, Kain Harvertz, and Hakim Ziyech.

What is your take on this, should Chelsea stick to using Jorginho or replace him with Lukaku? Let's have your suggestion in the comment section below.
