They said if Hazard wanted to win the Champions league or the Ballon D'or, he had to leave Chelsea and move to a bigger club like Real Madrid.

Now, from where we stand, they have been completely wrong as it turns out that Eden Hazard's move to Real Madrid has been nothing but a complete disaster.

His career in Spain has been plagued by several injuries, many of which are credit:

Although this is not the first time that we're going to witness a player change clubs and begin to suffer injuries, but in Hazard's case, there's a possibility that he might have contributed to his unfortunate problems.

When Hazard joined Real, he did not go there in the best shape physically. He was overweight.

Hazard perhaps underestimated the demands of playing for a club like Real Madrid in the La Liga.

Arriving his first training session seven kilos overweight was never the right way for him to start off a new challenge at the biggest club in the world.

I believe the lack of laying down a good foundation physically, was a major factor in the injury woes that have plagued his Madrid credit:

Thankfully, he is back to fitness now. But the damage has been done. The Belgian wizard now finds himself in a bench warming role at the Spanish club, having lost his place to the sensational Vinicius credit:

And as much as many of us want to see him playing regularly, to ask Ancelotti to put Hazard ahead of Vinicius Jr in the pecking order right now would be criminal, considering the form in which the youngster is currently in.

In this moment, everything points towards Hazard leaving Madrid in order to get the playing time he very much needs.
