In EPL history, there were many times a team won or drew a match without registering any shot on target. This is quite funny but it was surely a lucky day for the favoured team.
Below are some of those matches where an EPL team had zero shot on target yet it won or drew the match:
1. Fulham 1 - 1 Aston Villa
Fulham drew a match with Aston Villa in 2013 without even having a shot on target. This came from an own goal from Aston Villa's Fabian Delph.
2. Westham 1 - 1 Everton
In December 2010, Westham drew Everton at home with zero shot on target. This was with the help from Tony Hibbert of Everton who gave them the lead from his own goal. Everton equalised but couldn't win.
3. Westbrom 1 - 1 Bolton
Westbrom drew Bolton at home in March 2009 having no shot on target. This was because Danny Shittu's own goal wiped out Matthew Taylor's opener.
4. Westbrom 0 - 1 Sunderland
In January 2006, Sunderland won a match against Westbrom with a zero shot on target. This happened due to Westbrom's Steve Watson deflecting Anthony Le Tallec's shot that was off-target into his own net.
5. Chelsea 2 - 1 Sunderland
Joining the list again is Sunderland. Though they lost the match, Sunderland scored a goal with no shot on target after Cesar Azpilucueta's own goal.
