On Saturday, Barcelona disgracefully lost 1-0 against Atletico Madrid which highlighted how bad their LaLiga season has been so far. Ronald Koeman’s men once again failed to create and covert their chances and they also unfortunately lost Pique and Roberto to injuries during the match which shows how bad things are currently at the Camp Nou. However, on Wednesday the Blaugrana will take on Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League and many fans are desperately hoping that they come out victorious. With the current situation at the club, these are two players Koeman must not fail to start against Dynamo Kyiv:
1. Philipe Coutinho
Since the Brazilian playmaker went on an injury spell, Barca has been silently struggling to create goal chances apart from the game against Real Betis. Coutinho offers more quality and service to the likes of Messi and Griezmann upfront so Koeman should not hesitate to thrust him back into the starting line-up against Dynamo Kyiv.
2. Riqui Puig
Majority of Barca fans have been crying all season for Koeman to kindly restore Riqui Puig to the team and I think it’s time this finally happens. Since Koeman brought his 4-2-3-1 formation to Barca it hasn’t been working so far to be honest and that has kept Puig out of this team. Against Dynamo, the Dutch man should return to the traditional 4-3-3 of Barcelona in order to give a chance for Puig to play and showcase his obvious talent.
Indeed, things are not working as we all expected at the Camp Nou this season but if Koeman is brave enough to make these changes, maybe Barca will slowly begin to rise to her former glory.
