Messi Put Benzema In Huge Test After Scoring Against Granada To Create Gap On The Scorers' Chart

As the la Liga season 2020/21 is drawing close to an end, the big wigs in the League vying for the Top Scorers award are not relenting in their bids to win the prestigious Individual award.

After firing blanks against Real Betis, Benzema's goals tally stays at 21 in 29 outings for the Galacticus, keeping him behind Leo Messi with 5 whopping goals that doesn't come easy.

At first, it was Suarez' season to lose with the rate of goals he was recording per game. Playing 27 games and scoring 19 times was a power point for the Uruguayan as he was tipped for the Pichichi Award but injury slowly pin his ability to get goals as he trails Messi currently by 7 goals. With 5 more games to play for Atletico Madrid, Suarez could still catch up with Messi only if he could pump in over 8 goals to take the shine away from the Argentine. Villarreal's Moreno on his own Position stands the brightest chances of equalling and surpassing Messi's goals based on the weight of games Villarreal has to complete the season. Moreno is expected to get more goals even than Benzema who still have some tough and rough games to go.

Messi looks like the winner of the prestigious Award for the top Scorer in LA Liga this season. After scoring his 26th goal of the season in the 23th minute of play against Granada. You will want to agree with me that Messi's form is almost the best in the world considering his work rate. He leads the goal park by 5 goals to the 2nd placed Benzema and 6 goals ahead of Villarreal's Moreno who is currently ahead of Suarez by 1 goal.

Will Messi run away with both La Liga title and the Pichichi award this season? Time is almost telling us. Follow for more information
