Manchester United could land Juventus duo for £46m

Manchester United are reportedly eager to sign Juventus duo Douglas Costa and Merih Demiral for a combined fee of £46m this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are understood to have identified the Juventus pair as a summer transfer targets when the window reopens, with the Turin keen to bring Paul Pogba back to the Old Lady.

United are reportedly reluctant to have them included directly in a player-plus-cash swap deal for Pogba, but the negotiations could still be linked.

Transfer market values the 22-year-old Demiral at £24.3m, while Costa is worth £21.6m a combined total of £45.9m.

The Red Devils would be hopeful of cutting down the fee even further, though, with a number of clubs being forced into slashing asking prices in the wake of the recent pandemic.

Demiral has made just five Serie A appearances all season, while Costa has featured 14 times and contributing immensely to the club's success.
