3 Players Who Left Chelsea For Real Madrid To Win Trophies

The 2019/2020 La Liga season, has been decided and Real Madrid crowned the champions after a consistent run of form.

It was a title twist, that saw Barcelona relinquish their lead, hopes and chances with their inconsistency.

But amid the title triumph of Real Madrid, is something interesting we cannot stop observing. Players who left English Premier league side, Chelsea football club, for the Spanish giant to successfully win trophies.

1.Ricardo Carvalho

The Portuguese defender, will always be part of Chelsea football club history, for his incredible contributions to the London side.

He was part of the Jose Mourinho unforgettable era, that brought major trophies to Stamford Bridge, between 2004-2010.

Three Premier league titles, and two league cups are the array of trophies won by the Portuguese.

Hence why, it was no surprise to see the technically gifted defender, pitch tent with Mourinho once again at Real Madrid in the year 2010.

At that time, the Portuguese defender was 32, but still played a crucial role in helping Los Blancos win the Copa del Rey, in his first season and also instrumental in winning 2011/2012 La Liga title.

2.Thibaut Courtois

A very controversial figure, towards the latter part of his time at Chelsea. The Belgian shotstopper, is regarded as one of the finest and top goalkeepers, that has graced the shirt of the London club.

He had his moments, won quality trophies and apparently meant to be the true heir of Petr Cech when he left the club. But when Real Madrid calls, who would ignore?

The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper left Chelsea to join Los Blancos in the year 2008.

Although, took him time to assert his dominance as the undisputed number one shotstopper, for Zinedine Zidane team.

He can however look forward to a great future, after playing a key role in helping Madrid, snatch the 2019/2020 La Liga title, from Barcelona.

3.Eden Hazard

Another notable, and worthy mention is the fantastic Belgian dribbler, who epitomised the art of sensational attack, whilst he was still with Chelsea.

Hazard will always be fondly remembered, by Chelsea fans for all his top notch and incredible performances, for the club.

Going to Real Madrid, in 2019 was adjudged to be long over due for a top talent like Eden Hazard.

And he definitely, went to Los Blancos for a new challenge, which he has already bagged a major trophy as 2019/2020 La Liga champion.

Hopefully, more trophies will follow and Eden Hazard will have a fulfilling time, at Real Madrid.
