RMA vs MCI: Real Madrid's Potential Starting XI vs Man City featuring Rodrygo, Vinicius & Benzema

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, will devise a plan to cope with the suspension of Eder Militao during the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.

The Brazil international received his third booking in this season's tournament during the second leg of their quarter-final with Frank Lampard's Blues, resulting in a one-game ban from continental competition.

Along with Ferland Mendy, who has been out with a calf injury since the end of March and is still receiving treatment, Militao will be one of two defensive players absent for the current champions.

In the absence of Eder Militao, who is serving a one-game suspension, the defensive duties in the heart of defence tor Real Madrid will be performed by Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba, shielding the goal of Thibaut Courtois, who is seeking his fourth consecutive clean sheet in the Champions League.

The full-back roles will be handled by Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga, while Los Blancos received good news about Luka Modric's fitness following his appearance as a substitute in the Copa del Rey final victory over Osasuna on Saturday. The 37-year-old midfielder returned from a hamstring injury and is expected to start alongside Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde, relegating Aurelien Tchouameni to the bench.

After scoring two goals against Chelsea a few weeks ago, Rodrygo was Real Madrid's hero in the Copa del Rey final, scoring twice to secure victory.

The Brazilian is in line to maintain his postion in the forward line, joining forces with Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior.

Vinicius has a reputation for shining under the bright lights of European football and has provided either a goal or an assist in each of his previous ten starts in the Champions League, a feat that only Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved eleven times in a row.
