Another Italian club join Lazio, Fiorentina and Sampdoria in the race to sign Super Eagles star

According to the report from Italian publication Tuttosport via Tuttomercatoweb, Italian serie B side Monza FC have joined a lot of clubs interested in signing Super Eagles of Nigeria star Simy Tochukwu Nwankwo from Crotone FC in the summer transfer window.

The Nigerian international who was one of the best players in Italian serie A in the just concluded season has been linked with a move away from already relegated Crotone FC for the past few weeks, and he has linked with a lot of European top clubs.

It was reported that Simy Nwankwo's former head coach Giovanni Stroppa has been linked with a move to Monza FC, and he has made the Nigerian international one of his top transfer target when he becomes the club's manager.

Simy has been a top target for the likes of SSC Lazio, Fiorentina FC, Sampdoria FC, Salernitala FC, Leeds United and some unnamed clubs in Europe top five leagues, because of his outstanding performance for his club in the just concluded season.

Simy Nwankwo enjoyed an outstanding 2020/2021 season with Crotone FC in the Italian serie A, as he netted the total number of 20 goals, but his goals were unable to save the club from being relegated to the Serie B.

The Nigerian international has been Crotone's best player since Joining them from Portuguese Primeira Liga side Academical FC few seasons ago, and he has been able to make himself as the club's all-time highest goal scorer with 66 goals in all competitions.

Simy Nwankwo is now expected to join any club that will give him enough playing time when the summer transfer window eventually opens in few weeks time.
