The International break came to an end on Tuesday which saw most continental matches to an end. The AFCON matches also came to an end with 24 countries set to play the African Continental game come 2022 in Cameroon.
As usual, the Super Eagles of Nigeria made an outstanding performance in the qualifying matches, where the last two were excellent. They beat Benin 1 0 in their home and later beat Lesotho 3 0 on Tuesday.
We are therefore waiting patiently for the draws of the AFCON 2022 games. In the 2019 tournament, Nigeria came 3rd place while Algeria lifted the trophy.
Would Algeria still lift the trophy this time?
Can Nigeria Impress us this time?
Meanwhile, these are the countries wh qualified for the 2022 AFCON Tournament
Equatorial Guinea, Malawi, Guinea Bissau, Ethiopia, Comoros, Gambia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Mauritania, Gabon Cape verse, Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Cameron, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Senegal. One of the 24 qualifiers remains outstanding; BENIN or SIERRA LEAONE.
Benin refused to accept the result of their positive corona virus test. And so, CAF has suspended that match but they could decide to replay the match i.e Benin has to avoid defeat if they need to qualify else, CAF again might decide to award Seerie Leone victory because Benin refused the rest result.
Which team do you think can perform best?
Which team do you think will lift the AFCON Trophy?
