Chelsea are currently having a perfect start to the season, they've now played five league games this season conceding just one goal and having four clean sheets. Thomas Tuchel side are currently at the top of the Premier League table, they've played just five matches they'll have to win their next games if they still want to remain at the top. Chelsea could drop points in their next two league fixtures.
Chelsea vs Manchester City (25/09)
Thomas Tuchel have won Pep Guardiola side in all three times they met in all competitions last season. Pep Guardiola has failed to beat Thomas Tuchel and has used every tactics possible against Chelsea. Manchester City will be facing a different Chelsea on Saturday but Chelsea will be facing a well improved Manchester City. Pep Guardiola will definitely have his tactics changed to match Thomas Tuchel's tactics on Saturday. It'll be difficult for Chelsea to grab all three points against Pep Guardiola side in the next days.
Manchester City trashed Wycombe 6-1 in the Carabao Cup third round play offs after they came back from behind. Pep Guardiola now have all his players available for Saturday's clash. It's possible that the winner of this clash will be a strong contender for the Premier League title this season. Pep Guardiola already lost to Tottenham Hotspur in their opening league fixture, he can't afford to lose to another London club.
Chelsea vs Southampton (02/10)
Chelsea will open their October fixtures against Southampton at Stamford Bridge. Southampton are currently having their worst start to the season but from the performances we saw against Manchester City and in the Carabao third round, it will be a tough game for Thomas Tuchel side. Chelsea failed to beat Southampton both at Stamford Bridge and St Mary's Stadium last season. They took just two points from those matches, this season could be different. How Chelsea perform against Manchester City will decide how well they'll do against Southampton a week later.
