Ole Gunner's side will be vying to avenge that heartbreaking loss in the final of the 2020-21 Europa League as they take on Spanish Side Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Manchester united have lost two games in a row and would be looking to get back to winning ways when they clash with Emery's men. However, Manchester United Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that two of his defenders could miss the clash.
Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire are both dealing with injuries sustained against Aston Villa. Luke Shaw was forced to withdraw from the match against Aston Villa due to a muscular problem, and the left-back is a major doubt for Wednesday's champions league game against Villarreal.
Maguire was also substituted in the second half of Saturday's match against Villa after suffering a calf injury, and the club captain will be assessed before Wednesday's match.
Aaron Wan Bissaka, who received a red card against Young Boys On September 14, will not be playing on Wednesday.
How Manchester United Back Four Could Look like without these three Defenders;
Dalot came on at left-back to replace Shaw against Villa, but this won’t be an option against Villarreal as he will need him step in for Wan-Bissaka. Victor Lindelof will step in for Maguire if he is unfit and will pair with Raphael Varane at centre-back, while Alex Telles at left-back for Luke Shaw, could be United’s options.
