Reigning European champions Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they also posses global superstars in their ranks. These players have garnered a huge fanbase playing for the Blues, with many people following them on various social media platforms.
One such platform is Instagram, which is quite famous among various footballers across the globe. These footballers use the platform to share photos and videos of their personal as well as professional life, which helps them to reach out and connect more with the fans.
While all the Chelsea players have a big fanbase, the number of people who follow them varies depending upon their popularity among worldwide fans and their activities on Instagram. Some players who are more active on social media tend to have more followers than the ones who rarely use it.
On that note, let's take a look at five most followed Chelsea players on Instagram.
5. Christian Pulisic (4.5 Million Followers)

USMNT captain, Christian Pulisic is the fifth most followed Chelsea player on Instagram and also the most followed United States men's football player. The 23-year-old winger currently has 4.5 million followers.
Christian Pulisic broke into the international stage with Borussia Dortmund in 2015. His performances dazzled everyone in the Bundesliga, with the youngster breaking several records, including the youngest non-German player to score in the league (17 yrs 211 days).
Christian Pulisic continued to perform brilliantly at Dortmund until Chelsea came calling for the American in 2019, while he also attracted interest from other European clubs. The American’s time at Stamford bridge hasn't exactly been perfect so far, with the forward blowing hot and cold with his performances.
However, he was a key part of Chelsea's Champions League winning squad last season, becoming the first ever American to win club football's most coveted prize. Pulisic followed this up with another major prize as he captained the USMNT to CONCACAF Gold Cup glory, scoring a match-winning penalty in the final.
4. Hakim Ziyech (4.9 Million Followers)

Despite the fact that Hakim Ziyech has been unable to make a huge impact for the blues on the pitch, The Moroccan winger seems to be one of the most famous personalities on Instagram.
Ziyech has 4.9 million followers on Instagram, which makes him the fourth most followed player in the current Chelsea squad.
The 28-year old made a name for himself at Ajax, being part of the famous squad that beat the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus to reach the 2018/19 Champions League semi-finals. Known as "The Wizard of Amsterdam", Ziyech's passing ability and vision was a treat to watch. In just 165 appearances, he managed to score 49 goals and record a staggering 81 assists for Ajax, which attracted interest from Chelsea and the blues signed him last summer for a reported fee of £36 million.
However, the winger had a disappointing first season at Chelsea with untimely injuries halting his progress in west London.
3. Romelu Lukaku (8.3 Million Followers)

Chelsea's record signing, Romelu Lukaku, is the third most followed Chelsea player on Instagram, with a whooping 8.3 million followers.
This is no surprise considering the fact that Romelu Lukaku is currently one of the best strikers in the world and has played for some of the top clubs in Europe.
Lukaku has also used the platform provided by Instagram to speak on several social issues including racism and is therefore one of the most influential football players on the social networking service.
The Belgian striker first came into the spotlight when he joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2011. However, Lukaku, who was 18 years of age back then, was unable to break into the club's first-team and was subsequently sent on loan spells at West Brom and Everton. The latter eventually snapped him up permanently. The forward managed to score 87 goals in 166 appearances for Everton and this earned him a big-money move to Manchester United in 2017. But Lukaku's time at Manchester United was not as fruitful and the forward managed to score only 42 goals in 96 games before moving to Inter Milan in 2019.
At Inter, under the management of Antonio Conte, The Belgium talisman transformed into arguably one of the best strikers in the world and played a key part in the club's Serie A win last season, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists for the Nerazzurri.
Inter's financial crisis, however, meant that they had to sell Lukaku and the Belgian made a stunning return to Chelsea this summer for a reported fee of €115 million.
It didn't take the 28-year old time to settle into life, back at the premier league, scoring four goals in seven games for Chelsea.
Many say he was the missing piece for Chelsea in attack last season and with his arrival, they will be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
2. N’golo Kante (11.9 Million Followers)

Arguably one of the best midfielders in the world, N'Golo Kante is the second most followed Chelsea player on Instagram and has managed to garner 11.9 million followers, despite the fact that he is rarely active on it.
But considering the Frenchman's status as one of the best players in the premier league and in the world, there's no denying that he deserves such a fan following.
Kante rose to stardom at Leicester City after the Foxes defied all odds to win the Premier League title in the 2015-16 season. He subsequently moved to Chelsea and managed to win the title again in his first season at the club.
As such, Kante is only the second player to win back-to-back Premier League titles with two different clubs. Since then, the 30-year old has been the engine of Chelsea's midfield and has added several titles to his league triumphs, including the Europa League, the FA Cup and the Champions League.
He was also a key member of France world cup winning squad in 2018, completely running the midfield alongside Manchester united star Paul Pogba. Kante’s achievements at both club and international level are simply incredible and it's no wonder why the midfielder is one of the most followed people at Chelsea on Instagram.
1. Thiago Silva (18 Million Followers)

Ex-PSG captain, Thiago Silva is currently Chelsea's most followed player on Instagram with 18 million followers on his account. Unlike N’golo Kante, Silva is very active on his account and posts daily content for his followers. Whether it be his work routine, time with family or post-match thoughts, Silva never misses the chance to connect with his followers.
The Brazilian defender is one of the true legends of the modern game and even at the age of 37, he is still going strong at the top level of football.
After representing the likes of AC Milan and Paris Saint Germain, Thiago Silva turned into one of the best defenders in the world and arrived at Chelsea after winning numerous domestic titles.
The veteran centre-back wasted no time in settling at Stamford bridge, making 26 appearances in the Premier League last season. Thiago Silva also saw his dream of winning the Champions League become a reality last year, being an integral member of the side that ensured Chelsea lifted their second Champions League title.
In fact, his performances were so impressive that Chelsea opted to extend his stay at the club, by offering him a new contract.
Silva has started the current Premier League campaign in brilliant fashion, scoring in a 3-0 away win against Tottenham. He has proven to be a great threat in set-piece situations and has marshaled the Chelsea backline quite brilliantly.
