Pele is the second highest goalscorer in South America with 77 goals for Brazil followed by Neymar with 69 goals. Rivaldo, Luis Suarez and De Li Ma Ronaldo are among the highest goalscorers in South America.
Argentina comfortably defeated Uruguay 3-0 in their World Cup qualifiers. Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez and De Paul were all in the scoresheet. Lo Celso also registered two assists during the match. Lionel Messi became the first South American to score 80 international goals in football history.
Messi scored his 80 international goals for Argentina using different means. He scored 73 goals with his left-foot, 18 goals came from penalty shoot-outs, 2 headed goals, 5 goals with his Right foot and 8 goals came from free-kick. It took Lionel Messi 154 games to score 80 international goals.
