Many Chelsea fans were really angry about Timo Werner's misses against Real Madrid in the first leg of the UCL semi-final.However,amidst all these complaints of Timo Werner's miss, former Chelsea player Mario Melchiot did not mind to defend Timo and his efforts for Chelsea.
Mario Melchiot said-"If you look at the way Chelsea were playing, look at how one man can keep a back line busy, that was Werner and his pace. They were always worrried about him when they were pressing".
Mario Melchiot was also not happy about Werner's miss but that did not stop him from saying the positives about the German striker.
Melchiot was signed to Chelsea in the year 1999 from Ajax Amsterdam, he really played well as a right back but left in the year 2004.Thiago Silva's wife by name Belle Silva was also angry about the goals Timo Werner.Missing goals against a team like Real Madrid is not good at all because they always convert each of their chances and this can cause a heart-break to fans.
