One Player Who May Benefit From Ngolo Kante's Absence Due To COVID-19

Chelsea are set to face Juventus without their World Cup-winning midfielder Ngolo Kante, who was reported to have contacted the corona virus and will miss the match against the Italian giants and also against Southampton in the Premier League next weekend. But one player who stands to gain from the absence of Kante will be Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Ruben played his first full game for Chelsea since returning from a season-long loan from Fulham against Aston Villa in the League Cup, where his dominant display helped Chelsea to progress to the next round of the competition. With Ruben's physicality and good passing skills, he may gain from Kante's absence and feature against Juventus, thereby finding his way back to Chelsea's first team.

Juventus will face Chelsea in the Champions League for the first time, since the 2012/2013 season where the Italian giants contributed to Chelsea's elimination from the competition in the group stage, becoming the first UCL defending champions to be knocked out in the group stage.

As for Juventus they also have their own worries as former Real Madrid and Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata will be out due to an injury he sustained during the weekend. His strike partner, Paulo Dyabala, is also out due to injury.
