Premier league side Manchester City could be making a move of £65m by for 29-year-old Napoli and Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been linked with champions Liverpool and Manchester United and has previously been valued at £80m.

Manchester City have also identified Inter Milan's Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez, 22, as a potential and long-term replacement for compatriot Sergio Kun Aguero, 32. 

However, Lautaro Martinez is close to sealing a move to Spanish giant Barcelona.

Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba, 27, is close to signing a new five-year contract with the premier league club, who could announce the deal at the end of the season.

Bayern Munich are seeking 40m euros (£36.2m) for midfielder Thiago Alcantara, the 29-year-old Spain international linked with a move to premier league champions Liverpool. 

German Champions Bayern are thought to have dropped out of contention for Chelsea target Kai Havertz, the 21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen and Germany midfielder. 

The likes of Everton, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are expected to make a move for Crystal Palace and Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha this summer, with Newcastle also keen on the 27-year-old.

Everton Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti has told England first choice goal keeper Jordan Pickford, 26, that "he has to improve". 

Ghana and Athletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey, who is 27, is reportedly set to snub interest from Arsenal and sign a new contract with his current clubwho have offered to double his wages and his buy-out clause. 

Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola is open to bringing Aston Villa's Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz, 22, back to the club when the window opens.

Tottenham's England defender Danny Rose is hopeful of making his loan at Newcastle permanent, with reports in Italy linking the 30-year-old with Lazio, yet to contact his representatives. 

Manchester United Defender Diogo Dalot, 21, the Portuguese has failed to make the last nine league matchday squads, may be ready to make his return to the Manchester United side if Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams are unavailable for Today's trip to Crystal Palace.
