A rampant Rasheed Akanbi was the star of the week with a treble for Menemen Spor, as Ademetan Abayomi selects his best XI.
John Noble [Enyimba]
Won the game against Rivers United with several blinding saves, including Penalty efforts from Kunle Odunlami and Emmanuel Israel. Sensational.
Tyrone Ebuehi [Twente]
A vigilant performance down his flank and pretty much annulled any danger coming from the Feyenord midfield. Kept his discipline, scored and never allowed himself to be pulled out of position and a thoroughly neat display. Subtle.
Tosin Adarabioyo [Fulham]
Like flying to the moon in a Fiat 500 it was impossible for Sheffield United players to put down any real traction against the Nigerian. His determination and ferocity was best highlighted. Commanding.
Leon Balogun [Rangers]
Made a handful of clearances and interceptions and provided an assist. Also launched a couple of menacing forays during the match. Intimidating.
Ola Aina [Fulham]
Controlled the flank with his dynamic runs into danger areas and displayed all his power and pace before delivering a handful of dangerous balls that left defenders as perky as rat droppings. Menacing.
Wilfred Ndidi [Leicester City]
The Super Eagles star was consistently impressive as the Foxes edged Aston Villa 2-1 in the Premier League. His performance was great. Complete.
Joe Aribo [Rangers]
Integral to the win with a goal for Rangers as they annihilated Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership. Absolute.
Karo Etebo [Galatasaray]
Etebo created spaces and plotted moves throughout for his teammates to exploit. Always looking for the killer ball while also making key passes. Supreme.
Junior Ajayi [Al Ahly]
A commanding game and encapsulated his best performances when providing an assist for Mahmoud Kahraba with all his pure, irresistible energy against Al-Merreikh. Tigerish.
Ademola Lookman [Fulham]
Always looking to cause problems with and without the ball. His match winner against Sheffield United was well deserved. Comprehensive.
Rasheed Akanbi [Menemen Spor]
The striker was consistently upsetting the narrative throughout and succeeded scoring a hat trick in the 6-2 win over Akhisarspor. Assertive.
