Action is currently ongoing in Edo, Benin City where the 8th edition on the National Sports Festival is holding. The biennial event was supposed to hold last year, but was pushed to 2021 due to the pandemic.
So many kinds of sporting categories are available were medals are contested for by members representing various states of the federation.
A 26 year old lady known as Aminat Idrees have gotten the attention of many on social media following her triumph at one of the sporting categories despite being heavily pregnant.
Aminat who is eight months pregnant competed in a non-contact version of Teakwondo knowns as Poomsae wining the Gold medal.
Despite being heavily pregnant, she decided to engage herself in the tournament a decision which has not gone down well with some people.
While some are of the school of thought that she was favoured due to her condition, other felt she took a big risk even by competing.
