Chelsea close to announce signing of German midfielder

Chelsea are in a solid situation to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, with supervisor Frank Lampard addressing the midfielder about a transition to Stamford Bridge, as per the Athletic.

The Blues have been the leaders for the profoundly desired adolescent in spite of enthusiasm from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, and their move hopes to have made a stride nearer as they are purportedly the main club ready to meet the Bundesliga side's asking cost - thought to associate with £73million.

Havertz's exhibitions in the German first-class have made him one of the most looked for after players in Europe - scoring 17 objectives in all rivalries and giving eight helps from midfield.

Lampard has just indicated his desire for the club in front of next season by marking Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Havertz' countryman Timo Werner from Leipzig, and now he seems, by all accounts, to be very nearly another upset after the report guaranteed he has held talks with the 21-year-old.

Havertz is enthused about a transition to Stamford Bridge, the Athletic includes, with individual terms not thought to be an issue in exchanges.

Chelsea proceeded with their sure season under Lampard by moving into the FA Cup final on Sunday subsequent to beating Manchester United 3-0 and look on course to complete in the main four, which would just lift their expectations of landing Havertz.
