The Australian women's captain signed for the blues in November 2019. Her first seven appearances in Chelsea were a very poor one with her scoring just one goal. Questions began to arise whether the player was a good one for the women blues. But today the blues can now smile for having Sam Kerr in their team.
The striker has now won some major trophies in Chelsea. She has won her second consecutive FA Women’s Super League title and the FA Community Shield.
Her 21 goals from 22 games, help her to win the 2020-21 WSL Golden Boot award, her first in Europe and her sixth in the past five years, having won the same award in back-to-back seasons in both the W-League and NWSL since 2017.
May Kerr who will turn 28 years in September has become very good in front of the goal.
