Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that he is hopeful that his side would seal a deal for Martin Odegaard during the summer market, but it is yet to be known if it would be a loan deal or a permanent deal.
The Norwegian attacking midfielder has seen a loan spell at Emirates Stadium come to a an end this season, and would be making a return back to his parent club, but their are still people who are optimistic about seeing him in the Arsenal colours next season, with Arteta one of them.
Goal has claimed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that Arsenal will be holding talks with Real Madrid as regards to a new deal for their Norway international Martin Odegaard.
Martin Odegaard has seen his six-month loan at the Premier League side come to an end. The star was influential in his own way and also revealed that he has been happy at Arsenal.
When quizzed on his plans for Odegaard, Arteta told reporters that his side has a clear and strong opinion on what they would like to do ahead of the summer transfer window and next season.
Furthermore, Arteta revealed that Arsenal would open discussions with Real Madrid within the next few weeks and are hoping that a deal would be agreed for the midfielder.
However, if a deal for the Real Madrid star doesn't work, Arsenal still have other options to look at.
