Last Night Super Eagles two Super Eagles strikers featured and scored to help their teams secure convincing victories last night in the English Premier League and the Italian Serie A, this seems to be great news for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, as they will soon engage in the World Cup qualifiers and will need to go into the qualifiers with all guns blazing to secure qualification.
One of Nigeria's most in-form, striker Kelechi Iheancho scored in Leicester City's 3-0 thrashing of relegation bound West Bromwich Albion to secure their number 3 position on the English Premier League table, Brendan Rodgers foxes have been unstable since Jamie Vardy began his goal drought, but with the sudden rise in form of Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho, the foxes have been able to solidify their chase to secure a top-four finish.
Three first-half goals from Jamie Vardy, Jony Evans, and Kelechi Iheanacho were enough to secure the victory against West Brom, Leicester City now have a 4-point gap between them, and 4th place Chelsea and 5th place Westham who are both tied on 55 points but are separated on goal difference, and will face each other this weekend.
In the Italian Serie A another Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen was on song as his side Napoli thrashed Lazio 5-2, to secure a much-needed victory over their Serie A rivals, Osimhen score Napoli's last goal in the game after he was brought in as a substitute late in the game, the win puts Napoli in 5th position on the Serie A table and boosts their hopes of qualifying for either the Champions League or Europa League at the end of the season. Napoli has not qualified for any of the European competitions, in the past two seasons and is hoping to return to the elite competition.
The Super form of Nigerian strikers in Europe may be a thing of joy for Nigerians but may cause a headache for Super Eagles coach Genort Rohr, as he would be soiled with choices when he will pick his team for the World cup qualifiers, and also the AFCON proper as Nigeria has qualified to try and win a 4th AFCON Trophy.
