REPORTS: Real Madrid will aim to sign 21-year-old highly-rated midfielder next year

Without any doubts, Real Madrid were one of the few busy Spanish LaLiga sides during the summer transfer window before it was shut in September.

The Los Blancos are keen on wrestling back the LaLiga trophy from bitter rivals Atletico Madrid this season and did complete the signings of David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga to improve their squad.

That has paid off well so far as the Santiago Bernabeu side are currenly on top of the LaLiga table after racking up 17 points from their opening eight matches.

And even with that, it is believed that Real Madrid are keen on further strengthening their options in midfield and has been linked with a move for AS Monaco young midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.

The 21-year-old France International, who joined AS Monaco after leaving Bordeaux last year has been an important member of their first-team squad.

The young central midfielder had an impressive 2020/2021 season where he made 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and recording four assists in total.

Aurelien Tchouameni has also started the ongoing 2021/2022 season on a bright note and has scored two goals in 15 appearances in all competitions so far.

His excellent displays in the midfield is said to have attracted interests from several clubs across Europe and according to reports from Daily Mail, Real Madrid are backed to sign him when the transfer window opens.

The reports further claimed that Real Madrid are well positioned to beat the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United to the signing of the highly-rated midfielder next year.

If he joins Real Madrid, Aurelien Tchouameni will now join up with a squad that already possess the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Federico Valverde in midfield.
