Super Eagles Winger Makes A Return After Months on The Sideline With Injury

Super Eagles and Villareal sensational winger, Samuel Chukwueze, made a return to the pitch this weekend against, Osasuna, after months on the sideline owing to an injury.

The Nigeria international has been out of action since May 6 when he was injured in the club’s first leg Europa League game away to Arsenal at the Emirates, a game that ended 0-0, with the Spanish outfit eventually advancing 2-1 on aggregate.

The injury eventually ruled the forward out of the tournament’s final against Manchester United, and the Super Cup loss to Champions League winners Chelsea.

Chukwueze has also been forced to miss the Yellow Submarines’ six opening La Liga matches and the Group F Champions League opening match against Atalanta.

Surprisingly, the left footed winger was included in Unai Emery 20man team list that would excute the club's Matchday 9 fixture as they welcome, Osasuna FC to the Estadio de la Ceramica.

The Diamond Academy,Umuahia graduate went on to feature earlier today in his club disappointing home defeat as he came off the bench to replace Dutch striker Danjuma Arnaut.

With the winger return to action, Unai Emery and the Villareal team has been handed a big boost ahead of the team Champions league fixture with English side, Manchester United on Wednesday.
