Nigerian striker becomes Leicester City's top scorer this season

24 year old Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has surpassed Jamie Vardy's goal tally for Leicester City this season to become the club's top scorer across all competitions so far.

His strike against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League last night saw his goal tally rise to 16 across all competitions in just 32 appearances. Vardy is now on 15 goals and the Nigerian could genuinely surpass him this season.

Iheanacho also won the man of the match award against Sam Allardyce's side because of a well rounded performance that saw his team go away with the win and all but secure a place inside the top 4 for the foreseeable future.

He was deployed as a second striker and played the entire 90 minutes. He had 3 shots on target with 4 other shots blocked and was successful in 4 out of 5 attempted dribbles. He was accurate in his passes 81% of the time, winning 7 out of his 11 attempts in total duels.
