Five foreigners who could gatecrash Gernot Rohr's Super Eagles squad

Despite a feel good factor, there are some places up for grabs in the Nigeria squad.

Gernot Rohr needs to consider the best players available for future Super Eagles assignment: so why does the German not look to naturalised foreigners to get the job done?

These are players who were born in foreign countries, have not represented their own country at senior level,

Here are five players that could do a job for Super Eagles if Rohr wants to drag Nigeria into contention and improve our chances of glory.

Arthur Okonkwo

There has been much debate whether the Arsenal keeper should make the Nigeria squad. Okonkwo has no chance of playing for England. He has expressed his desire to play for Super Eagles.

The keeper is occasionally accident-prone and lacks international experience, but his experience playing in England could prove to be invaluable, especially as Maduka Okoye lacks the experience of playing at the very top level.

Felix Agu

Another German bred that could play for Nigeria is Felix Agu. The defender cannot get into the Germany team squad because of the array of talents that dominate the full back.

Possessing excellent control, dead ball expertise and great at dribbling, Agu is the best candidate on this list and could do a job for Nigeria, where his creativity would be a valuable asset in unlocking opposing defence's.

Noni Madueke

Capped by England at U-21 level, Madueke's pace, trickery and ability to play in England's forward position could make him a valuable asset to their squad.

However, there are numerous obstacles standing in the way of the PSV man: notably the likes of Harry Kane, Tammy Abraham and Dennis Alvert Lewin, who are all vying for the one spot in the England attack.

Michael Olise

Olise has never represented France at senior level and is eligible to play for Nigeria, after spells at Reading and Crystal Palace.

Creative, and capable of the spectacular, I like Olise as a player but the amount of competition for places in the England wing could count against the Palace youngster.

Lukas Nmecha

This is a name that strikes dagger to the hearts of defenders in the German Bundesliga. Lucas Nmecha is one player that Nigeria must try to grab now because has what it takes to score goals.

The 22-year-old has hit 11 goals in 14 appearances for Germany U21. He has fared well for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga this season.
