Kwara United captain Christopher Nwaeze has reacted to the invitation to the Super Eagles camp. The former Flying Eagles captain is part of the United squad - that lost 2-0 to Lobi Stars on Sunday.
Nwaeze has had an impressive season with Kwara United, leading them to fifth on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table with forty-six points in twenty-seven games.
The defender was among the twenty-five selected players invited by Gernot Rohr to prosecute the game against Mexico on July 3. The invited player will resume camp in Abuja.
Nwaeze is not the only Kwara United player invited to the Super Eagles camp, with midfielder Stephen Jude and Lawal Oriyomi Muritala.
The former Flying Eagles captain revealed that he is excited to receive the invitation. He also thanked his teammates and coaches for their efforts.
Nwaeze said that Nigerians should expect a good result, performance, and total concentration if he gets the chance to play against Mexico on July 3.
