Marcus Rashford expressed gratitude to his Manchester United teammates and the club for their support in helping him achieve a personal milestone.
The 25-year-old forward netted his 30th goal of the 2022–23 season in a 4-0 victory over the West Londoners at the Theatre of Dreams on May 25th.
Throughout the season, The England international netted 17 goals in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup, six in the EFL Cup, and six in European competitions, with two games remaining.
The Red Devils will face Fulham in a Premier League home game on May 28th before taking on rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup Final on June 3rd.
Taking to Instagram on May 26th, the Englishman, who emerged from the Manchester United youth academy, expressed his appreciation: "I want to thank the club and my teammates for making this personal achievement possible.
After a challenging campaign last year, where I struggled with form & fitness, my primary focus was to regain the joy of scoring goals and winning games, and that's exactly what has happened this year.
May it continue for a long time! 🙏🏾 We have two more games to go, and we will give our all to try and lift another trophy."
Jadon Sancho, Casemiro, and Timothy Fosu-Mensah, along with former footballer Andy Ansah, were among those who commented, with Ansah congratulating Rashford for earning the achievement through hard work and dedication to the cause.
