While Chelsea are battling to ensure a top four finish and secure Champions League football, the prospects for the club for the upcoming season are looking real good. Marina Granovskaia has already masterminded the capture of two top stars - Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, as the club looks to bolster the squad Frank Lampard has at his disposal.
One if those signing, Ziyech, has already joined up with the club. And while he hasn't starter training with his new teammates, he is familiarising himself with his new environment.
Some doubters have however expressed doubts as to whether Ziyech can compete favorably in the English top flight, given his lanky stature and the physical nature of the League.
But Ziyech has has revealed that he is ready for the competitive nature of the EPL.
Speaking to the club's official website, Ziyech - who was in attendance when Chelsea beat Norwich City 1-0 at Stamford Bridge - said he is ready to deal with the physical challenges English football may present.
“They always told me that the Premier League is a tough competition. I know it is.
"People said physically I was not ready, but if you look at the competition and players who have the same body as me.
"Football is just playing with your head and be smart and creating spaces. Be always in the small things.”
He's certainly right. While the League is physical, players with similar stature have excelled - with the likes of Cesc fabregas doing well in England.
Ziyech is known for his flair and creativity, and those will be huge assets to this Chelsea team.
