Chelsea fans will surely be delighted at news that Real Madrid duo Eden Hazard and Toni Kroos will miss at least the first leg of their Champions League semi final clash later this month. Former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard was initially thought to be fit for the clash after manager Zidane declared him "ready", however, the tables seem to have turned on the Belgium winger.
Speaking ahead of Real Madrid's La Liga encounter with Cadiz, Zidane said: Hazard will not be there and Toni Kroos will not be there. If Hazard is not there, it is because he is not one hundred per cent. The important thing is that when he returns he is one hundred per cent. Eden's feeling is not the same and you have to be very attentive.
This will come as a blow to Real Madrid as Toni Kroos in particular has been in top form in the middle of the park this season. On his part, Eden Hazard is now set to miss what would have been a chance to reunite with his former employers and teammates at Chelsea. The focus will now shift to whether they can get the two fit enough for the second leg coming up next month.
