Premier League

Adorable photos of Yaya Toure with his family

Manchester City has been a force in the last ten years, their emergence as an elite force in English football and Europe has seen a host of leading talents head to the Etihad over the course of the past decade, with the likes of Sergio Aguero and David Silva establishing themselves as all-time greats of the Premier League era.

One man, however, perhaps had an even greater influence over the early rise of Manchester City, Yaya Toure proving one of the most influential players in the club’s modern revolution.

The Ivorian will forever be remembered as the man who scored the FA Cup final winning goal to end City’s 35-year wait for a major trophy, but it is undoubtedly the 2013/14 campaign which saw the midfielder at his near unstoppable best. This great star made his name more popular in England. He also played Asec Mimosa before playing for Olympiacos and Barcelona prior to his move to Manchester City.

This African Legend has his country and Africa as a whole in his heart and have always work so hard to represent his African root. One of his best quotes in one of his interviews which inspires me a lot is this:

“I represent my country, but I also represent the continent of Africa when I play in Europe. That’s why it’s important to try to achieve something big”

“When we play at the World Cup, any African will back any African team. Because we want to hear the different approach to African football. We want to hear that Africans can do well, and Africans do well”

“I am very proud to be African. I want to defend African people, and I want to show to the world that African players can be as good as the Europeans and South Americans”

“Off the pitch, I keep things simple. I enjoy spending time with my family. I never forget my roots and regularly give back to children in West Africa. I support several youth associations, and I am also involved in the protection of the forest in my country. When away from home, I mostly miss people and enjoying a good laugh with my peers"

Whenever I read this quotes from him, it inspires me a lot because that is what we are "an African" and we should work hard to make our continent proud. He also have a wonderful family with his beautiful wife and three children. They are living happily together and enjoying every bit of life. Here's some of their lovely pictures with his family..
