Man United Long Term Injury Absentee Closing In On Return

French striker Anthony Martial is reportedly closing in on a potential return for Man United. The forward is reportedly moving freely now.

The French striker was injured while on international duty for France and was thought to be ruled out for the rest of the season. This news will come as a boost for United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is chasing a top four finish and the Europa league trophy.

Solskjaer was of the view that the French international is out for the rest of the season. However, Martial could now make a return for United before the end of the season.

The striker has not been able to replicate his last season form having scored just seven goals this season with only four in the league. Despite this, he remains of immense importance to Solsksjaer's plans for Man United going forward.

In his absence, summer signing Edinson Cavani has filled in for Martial, scoring an impressive ten goals in all competitions for the Old Trafford based team this season.
