Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will begin title defense once more as they are going to battle it out against Thomas Tuchel's men, Manchester United's firepower, and Liverpool as they all completed the top four last season. The dusk has barely settled on the past Premier League season as a new challenge is about to begin.
Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal had a disappointing season, but they will be looking for improvement this season. Norwich and Watford return to the English top-flight after missing out for a year while Brentford will be looking forward to their first season at this level since the 1946/1947 season.
PRESSURE ON KLOPP
Liverpool will begin the 2021/2022 Premier League season with a clash against Norwich City. Interestingly, they did this in the same season they won the league. Klopp will next welcome Burnley and Chelsea to Anfield for their next two matches.
The Premier League champions will then visit Anfield again after usurping Jùrgen Klopp last season to clinch their 3rd Premier League title in 4 years. The clash is scheduled to be played on the 2nd of October; the 7th game of the season. The return match at the Etihad comes in April 2022.
CHELSEA'S TOUGH DRAW
The fixtures for the European Champions are tougher as expected. Chelsea is gifted to play a number of their top-four rivals in the opening months of the campaign. They will start the season with Palace at Stamford Bridge before heavy games away at Arsenal and Liverpool in consecutive weeks.
Then Aston Villa will visit Stamford Bridge, leading on to a visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and a home clash against Premier League champions, Manchester City.
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR MERRY
The festive season will see some epic battles as Manchester City will face Leicester City on Boxing Day while Brendan Rodgers' side will clash with Liverpool a few days later.
The Reds then usher in the new year against Chelsea while Arsenal squares off with City.
OLE GUNNAR SOLKSJAER'S NIGHTMARE
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will have to fasten his seat belt if he hopes to deliver a title for United as a manager. The Red Devils will navigate a difficult run of matches in October and November.
Manchester United will begin their league affair with a home clash against Marcelo Bielsa's resilient Leeds United. On Matchday 8, Manchester United will travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City before taking on all five of their top-six rivals within the space of their next six matches.
This is a tip compares to the end of the season. The Old Trafford club will face tough games in March and April with consecutive games against Manchester City, Tottenham, and Liverpool.
